Wairarapa Family Violence Network

Blow the Whistle on Violence is a social marketing campaign running in Aotearoa, New Zealand, that began in 2007 in Tauranga and ran nationwide in 2011, during the Rugby World Cup.

The Blow the Whistle on Violence campaign uses the language of sport to communicate positive messages about safe families and communities, and to encourage families experiencing violence to reach out for information and services.

Here in the Wairarapa, we are supporting sports clubs and teams to promote the Blow the Whistle message.

So far in 2013, we have supported Marist Junior Cricket, the Masterton Touch Rugby competition, the Masterton Swimming Club, Undercover Brothers Touch tournament and the Greytown Junior Cricket teams.
